Livestock Transport
The transportation of livestock in is an integral part of our country’s rural survival, and an essential link in our food logistics chain.
Drivers of livestock trucks need to display high skill levels on our roads with high centre of gravity (COG) loads on anything from rural gravel roads, onto farms and remote sheep stations, to highways and motorways.
Not only this, but drivers also need to have the stockmanship skill needed to load & unload 50-70 cattle, or 500-700 lambs without injury to any of the livestock, or themselves.
At AVT we have accredited trainers who can offer assessments and coaching on all aspects of livestock transport.
